Biography

Adam Clague

Whether Adam Clague is painting a person, place, or object, he seeks to faithfully capture the beauty of God’s creation and to communicate that beauty with his viewers.

Adam’s work is enjoyed by collectors across the United States and abroad. His awards include Best of Show from the American Impressionist Society, 2nd Honor Award in the Portrait Society of America International, and Portraiture Award of Excellence from the Oil Painters of America. His paintings have been displayed in such venues as the Salmagundi Club in New York City and the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, Spain. Adam enjoys sharing what he has learned as a full-time artist through in-person workshops and online instruction.

Adam received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pensacola Christian College, where he studied under Brian Jekel. It was at college that Adam met his wife and fellow painter, Andrea Orr Clague. The couple lives near Kansas City, Missouri with their sons, Gideon and Jaron.

Andrea Clague


Andrea Orr Clague’s work reveals her fascination with light and the elusive beauty it bestows upon seemingly ordinary objects. Andrea is thankful for the ability to paint and counts it a gift from her Heavenly Father. As she develops her art, she aspires to glorify God and draw others to see His goodness and the wonder of His love.

Andrea Orr Clague was traditionally trained at Pensacola Christian College and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. She was selected for Southwest Art Magazine’s annual “21 Under 31” feature, and her artwork was displayed on the issue’s cover.

Andrea’s work has received many awards including Grand Prize at the Scottsdale Salon at the Legacy Gallery and Best of Show From the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society. Her paintings have been displayed in various venues, including the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH, and the Albrecht Kemper Museum in St. Joseph, MO.
